Soochna Seva project aims to deliver basic computer skills among the rural population. So a center is set up in rural pockets and students from the villages are enrolled in it. In Chanchoda block of Guna district, a centre was setup last year. The Soochna Seva team began introducing the activities that are carried out in selected panchayats. The hard work paid results and 32 students were enrolled within 20 days.
Mr. Ramnarayan Ahirwar was strolling on the streets when he spotted some students, who were busy working on laptops. He was curious to know about this so he went to visit the Soochna Seva Kendra. One of the members of the team informed him about the computer classes. Two days later Ramnarayan came forward with the necessary documents to join the computer classes.
His life has not treated him well as his father passed away when he was young. After facing lots of ups and downs in life he managed to complete his graduation. Seeking employment was one of his top priorities but poor computer education restricted him to apply for good jobs. So he decided to enroll for PGDCA course and somehow managed to do the course despite the fact that the course was too expensive. Though he had a certificate, he lacked practical knowledge of computer. To feed his family he began working as a guard at local cattle house with Chanchoura Nagarparishad office.
Soochna Seva’s computer progam turned out to be the only hope for Ramnaryan Ahirwar. He thought that this course will serve as a ladder for him to apply in good jobs such as data entry operator or somewhere else.
