A new service in the basket, Umri Panchyat, Madhya Pradesh
Budhu is a resident of Mandna Toli village in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. He has one son who is married and lives separately, his other son passed away a few years ago, and both his daughters are married. Budhu now lives with his completely paralyzed wife.
Aged and physically disabled himself, there is no income flow for the couple. His son doesn’t support him either.. Living way below the poverty line, sustaining his daily life had become very difficult for him. His ration card gets him food grains regularly from the PDS, but there isn’t any flow of income in the family. Despite applying multiple times for old age and disability pensions, there hasn’t been any support or confirmation from the authorities on the issue.
During a field visit, the Soochna Seva team happened to meet Budhu and learnt about his hardships.. The team then helped fill Budhu and his wife’s disability & old age pension forms and assured them of all the support regarding government schemes in the future.
