Panel Discussion on “Strengthening Governance and Citizen Engagement Digitally for Last Mile Access and Delivery of Public Schemes Information And Entitlements”

The second consultation workshop on ‘Information on Public entitlements and Role of Digital tools for Information dissemination’ was held on August 11, 2014 at Eros Hotel. It was organised by Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF), under the Soochna Seva project supported by the European Union (EU).
As, government is trying to bridge the gap of information among local mass by multiple initiatives soochna seva aims to act as a catalyst in order to achieve the objectives.
In workshop it was discussed about effective information sharing at grassroots level by using digital tools after considering the diverse background of the target communities. Another topic of discussion in the workshop was to brainstorm about a comprehensive web portal for all the 14 projects under the European Union programme, where facts and information from ground will be shared online.
