The residents of dehrikalan village, aron block were left in a state of shock when they discovered that their own community member is robbing their share of government allotted food ration. The man from past 1 year was intentionally deceiving his own community by stealing their ration from the control department shop.
The villagers struggled to survive the long wait for timely food rations. For a while, they even approached government authorities but failed to fix the issue. Recently, Soochna Seva team organised a grievance camp at block level. The team took the onus of fixing this issue to provide relief to the poor villagers. The investigation of missing ration was telling. Most villagers were already listed for the ration aid from past one year but were ignorant of the fact. It was later found out that someone from their own village using fraudulent means is getting the ration credited of dozens in his personal account. Now villagers have reported this civil fraud in SDM office and have demanded a stiff punishment against the person responsible for the crime.
