The Guna Soochna Seva team was returning home after completing their monthly meeting at the Soochna Seva Kendra (SSK) at Chanchoura block when they witnessed an accident that took place a few meters before the Parvati river on the National Highway 3.This road connects Guna and Chanchoura and prone to accidents due to poor road conditions.
The victims were severely injured and needed immediate medical assistance. The Soochna Seva team spotted a Janani Suraksha Vahan and asked the driver to help the injured so that they can be taken to the hospital. The driver refused as he was carrying a pregnant woman in the van and was travelling to some other location.
Soochna Seva team insisted that the driver to take the injured too as saving their lives was also a priority. The driver immediately softened and agreed to take them. He drove the injured and also the pregnant lady to the district hospital rather than then taking them to local health centre
